Alfio Mongelli H2O, Scetches, fotos and models of the projecting of the sculture H2O, which will be the only italian sculpture amongst 20 that will be installed in the olympic parc of Beijing.

Piccolo Teatro dei Pupi - Via della Giudecca, Siracusa
Museum of traditional sicilian marionettes and performances of puppet plays
by the company of the Vaccaro-Mauceri family. In May there will be performances on May 15, and 17 (21.30 h), May 18 (18.30 h) and May 20 and 22 (21.30 h). Museum opening hours: daily except Sunday from 10.30 to 13.00 h and from 16.00 to 19.00 h. Full schedule of the 2008 performances via webpage of the theatre.

Etna in scena. Concerts, theatre and cinema organized by the city of Zafferana Etnea in the open air theatre of the town at the sloves of mount Etna. The programm has not yet been fixed.

Teatro Antico - Taormina
Carmina Burana, musics by Carl Orff. Dance performance with Youri Vamos and the ballet of the Teatro San Carlo of Napels, orchestra and choir of the Teatro Massimo Bellini Catania, directed by Yoram David. First Performance of a series of summertime productions of the Teatro Massimo Bellini Catania, entitled Il ritorno di Dionisio.

Centro - Isola di Vulcano (Messina)
Festa della Madonna delle Grazie. Every first Sunday in July this religious feast is held in the little village of Gelso on the island of Vulcano. The fishermen carry the statue of the Madonna to the sea, followed by all the boats and a boat with a brass band. At the waterfront there will be live music and dancing and at the end there will be fireworks on the sea.

Agrigento (AG)
Festa di San Calogero. San Calogero is the most ancient Saint of the people of Agrigent. He is a black Saint and the feast dedicated to him is the most important religious feast in Agrigent. There will be most impressing processions with his statue willl be held on the first two Sundays of July.

Anfiteatro Parco Comunale - Zafferana Etnea (Catania)
Beginning of the season of the festival Etna in Scena. Concerts, theatre performances and cinema at the open air theatre of Zafferana Etnea. The detailed programm is not yet published.

Feste Patronali di S. Venera. Final procession and the most important event of the patron saint's feast, starting from the cathedral of Acireale, passing through the historical center and before returning to the cathedral. At the Piazza Duomo There will be a choir concert and a firework, before the statue will be brougth back into the cathedral.

Centro - Sorrentini, Patti (Messina)
S. Teodoro Martire. One week of feasting the patron saint San Teodoro. A religious and folkloristic event, including the ballo del santo, during which the people let the statue of the saint dance to the music of the brass band. Other accompaniments of the feast are culinary events like the sagra del castrato, pane cunzatu and a spaghetti competition, the spaghettata co' pipareddu.
